Saving Salt Publishing

If you were going to choose a money-making business plan, it probably wouldn't involve publishing poetry, but we're particularly thankful that Chris Hamilton-Emery of Salt Publishing continues to take the risk, as it means we get to read poetry by Pegabovine alum Luke Kennard.

The financial crisis means that Salt is in a little difficulty. We here republish a note by Chris on how you can help. It's pretty straightforward.

JUST ONE BOOK

1. Please buy just one book, right now.

We don't mind from where, you can buy it from us or from Amazon, your local shop or megastore, online or offline. If you buy just one book now, you'll help to save Salt. Timing is absolutely everything here. We need cash now to stay afloat. If you love literature, help keep it alive. All it takes is just one book sale. Go to our online store (UK and International or USA) and help us keep going.

2. Share this note on your Facebook and MySpace profile.

Tell your friends. If we can spread the word about our cash crisis, we can hopefully find more sales and save our literary publishing. Remember it's just one book, that's all it takes to save us. Please do it now.

With my best wishes to everyone,
Chris Hamilton-Emery

We'd obviously recommend buying Luke's books. There are three:-

The Solex Brothers (Redux)
The Harbour Beyond The Movie
and the new one: The Migraine Hotel

Also, why not try Chris McCabe's Zeppelins or Melanie Challenger's Galatea?

Google Search Insanity

Longterm readers of this site will know that I scour our Google Analytics account with a zeal rarely matched in the comedy world.

Yesterday, someone reached the Pegabovine site by searching for the term "What was the song played on Neighbours today?"

Unfortunately, I don't know. Sorry. Perhaps it was by Midnight Oil! Or Men At Work!

Or another Australian stereotype!

Tom Wateracre's website

Hello there, Pegaboviners -

Tom Davies aka Davis Wateracre is now known as Tom Wateracre. This is because I like to keep things limber in the old name department.

Anyway, I have a new website at www.wateracre.co.uk, which I would advise you to look at. It has lots of audio, video and shenanigans.

Check it out!

Davis Wateracre Is A Silly Name

Hello there -

All quiet and simmery on the Pegabovine front. Lots of things quietly bubbling away, but we aren't in a position to share any of them yet. Keep your cards close to your chest, as my line manager at Clinton Cards said. He was a little odd. Loved cards. Wasn't very close to any humans. Quid pro etc.

Anyway, one big thing is that, after years of people asking me my name and then saying "David?", I've decided to change my stage name to Tom Wateracre.

Hello.

This is in consultation with my wonderful new agent, Cheryl Hayes of Cheryl Hayes Management, who knows about naming things. She was called Cheryl Hayes, so she called her management company Cheryl Hayes Management. It's all so sensible. Anyway, take a look at me over there, looking speccy and startled.

I will get podcast three up soon as well. I know I've been promising it for ages, but it's really almost done. It really, really almost is.
